Milk thistle – a species of plant belonging to the Asteraceae family. It comes from the Mediterranean area: southern and south-eastern Europe, North Africa, Western Asia and some regions of Central Asia (India, Pakistan). As an introduced species, it has spread to many regions of the world. Currently, it grows wild, outside the area of its original occurrence, also in other places in Africa and Europe, in Australia, New Zealand, North and South America.
PROPERTIES
The main effect of milk thistle is its beneficial effect on the liver - it improves the functioning of the liver and gallbladder. In addition, milk thistle supports the digestion process, increases the secretion of digestive juices, has a positive effect on maintaining the physiological cleansing functions of the liver and improves appetite. Milk thistle also has antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects.
USE
Ground milk thistle seeds are perfect as an addition to vegetable juices, fruit juices, diet salads, yogurt, kefir and even buttermilk.

RECOMMENDED DAILY DOSE: 10 grams (2 tablespoons). Do not exceed the recommended daily dose.
HOW TO USE
It is recommended to use 5 grams (2 tablespoons) twice a day before a meal. Pour into a glass and pour warm water, wait 5-10 minutes. Ground milk thistle can also be used as an addition to muesli, porridge, groats, salads, bread, soups, sauces.
