Micellized turmeric (60 Licaps® capsules) - dietary supplement

Micellar solubilization of turmeric ensures rapid absorption and high bioavailability. This is a process of increasing the solubility of the substance. Studies confirm the better absorption of NovaSOL® turmeric compared to traditional turmeric extracts. Thanks to the solubilization technology, we obtain stable, highly bioavailable turmeric.

Products in micellized form create solubilisates of lipophilic (fat-loving, insoluble in water) substances.

These substances are pH and temperature stable and have a diameter of about 30 nanometers. When microemulsions can be unstable, micellized products are an excellent solution for functional foods, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals or biotechnology (cells and bacterial cultures). Micelles are 100% water-soluble and can be used directly in products regardless of the properties of the other ingredients. Micellized products have been shown to be an excellent carrier for hydrophobic ("water-hating") substances. They provide better and faster absorption and penetration of active ingredients.

Transfer of micellized substances (fat-soluble and water-insoluble) to the final products occurs directly, excluding subsequent production stages.

2. Absorption/penetration
Scientific studies confirm the high absorption of micellized active ingredients through the skin and intestines. Fat-soluble substances, such as vitamin E, are absorbed using bile acid salts and enzymes by forming micelles in the small intestine. However, this process is characterized by low bioavailability of the absorbed substances. The use of micellized products from AQUANOVA bypasses the process of creating micelles in the intestines, which ensures higher bioavailability of active substances.
3. Stability
Compared to emulsions, micellized products from AQUANOVA are stable (temperature, pH - stomach acids) and not susceptible to microbiological contamination.
