Mint essential oil
Mint is a plant commonly used both in cosmetics and has regenerative properties of the body. Natural peppermint essential oil is extracted by steam distillation. Thanks to this, the full properties of the plant are preserved. Peppermint oil can be used externally to refresh the skin, as well as for inhalation and bathing. Its health properties have been confirmed by studies. Mint essential oil has been shown to have strong antibacterial, antiviral, and antifungal effects.
Antiviral and antibacterial properties of peppermint oil
Mint essential oil has an effect against HSV-1 and HSV-2 viruses.
It has also been proven to work against bacteria:
Staphylococcus aureus, i.e. Staphylococcus aureus
gram-negative Escherichia coli
Bacillus subtilis, Bacillus cereus, Staphylococcus epidermidis
S. Enteritidis and S. Typhimurium
Thanks to these properties, the oil is widely used in cosmetics and the treatment of dermatological problems, such as:
acne, blackheads, chickenpox, eczema, broken capillaries, oily skin, mycosis, scabies
abscesses, boils, cellulitis, folliculitis, impetigo, pestlewort – caused by the S. aureus bacterium
It also has an effect against pathogens responsible for the occurrence of acne, such as S. epidermidis or P. acnes.
Antifungal effects of mint oil
Pure mint essential oil also has excellent antifungal properties. It has an effective effect against:
yeasts C. albicans, C. glabrata, C. tropicalis, C. krusei, C. dubliniensis, C. parapsilosis, C. neoformance
A. flavus, A. fumigatus, A. fumigates, A. oryzae, A. clavatus.
It also exhibits anti-biofilm activity against biofilms caused by Candida albicans or Candida dubliniensis.
Proven medicinal properties and other uses of mint essential oil
Mint essential oil has proven healing properties in the course of irritable bowel syndrome (suitable for short-term therapy). This conclusion was drawn on the basis of 9 studies conducted on a group of 726 patients, and this was reported in a publication in the Journal of Clinical Gastroenterology.
Peppermint essential oil is also helpful in soothing and treating many other ailments, such as:
- indigestion and flatulence;
- cardiovascular diseases;
- rheumatism;
- skin irritation;
- respiratory diseases;
- headache, including migraines and even a runny nose
How to use our essential oils?
We offer you extremely strong chemical substances of plant origin, so to avoid irritation, they should be used carefully and after appropriate dilution. The most popular methods of using oils are:
inhalations – add a few drops to a bowl of hot water or an inhaler and inhale steam with active substances
baths – depending on the oil, add a few drops to the water and take a therapeutic bath
massages – rub the oil in the carrier oil in the right proportions depending on the oil

How to use our packaging?
The oil can be drawn with a pipette or syringe after unscrewing the bottle or with a syringe through the membrane. The method using the membrane ensures greater sterility of use.
